D*mn Weather

We are getting hammered with the same storm today, except it is snow and ice pellets, up to eight inches forecasted. I see where they had to close Pearson International in Toronto yesterday because they went thru a month's volume of de icing fluid in two days, about 175,000 US gallons worth and ran out.

We wound up getting about half an inch or so of ice on the grass, and unpaved surfaces. Nothing stuck to the roads, however they were a bit slick.

We have been getting the same crap here in NH since Friday so far we have 4" with about a 1/2" or so of ice and sleet on top of that..It's sticking to the roads here no problem as a matter of fact I have to go back out at 12:30 to go scrape and salt the roads..Man and I thought winter was over..

Later Rob.

I`m in Oswego County, just east of the city of Oswego( which has been shut down ). A State of Emergency has been declared since the damage from the storm is so extensive. I`ve heard up to 100,000 customers are without power, many until early next week. I know my generator has been running for 24 hours and being the hardhead that I am I didn`t even start mine until power had been off for 12 hours. Many roads are unpassable due to the trees and lines down everywhere. There are so many lines hanging low that most roads have not even been plowed. It`s amazing how much snow we can handle at one time but an ice storm cripples us. Russ

Beatiful here today! Rained in the morning a little then cleared up , sunny and 70, just got back from riding my bike for the first time since Nov.!
Nice pics though hope you get some work:D

C'mon, Todd, lets ride north! I've had enough winter for several years. however, whens there's mad money to be made....... oh well, my saw handles are'nt heated, better stay home. darn the bad luck.

Been an interesting winter for sure, even saw 2 of my neighbors running down our street on snowmobiles a couple times:confused: Must be the only ones in NoVa.! .....until I get mine:)

I've seen a handful of snowmobiles out here in Loudoun county, scary as heck watching em run down a main road at 50 mph, (especially coming around a curve at you.)
Like snow blowers, they'll be some good deals next year, with a warm winter. might be bloodstained though....
