Are there any saw builders out there?

What are you going to use the 3120 for? Can`t be that much timber in Central Pa. that warrants dragging a 3120 into the bush, is there?

You could try Dan Henry, he`s in Central Pa. also, McClure to be exact. Rumor has it that he can build a saw, you might want to check with him.

Go to

Go to the bottom of the page, click>Fourm jump and click one of the other sponsors like Dan or Neiger or EHP and click. It should take you to one of the builders that sponsor here however there are many more builders here that don't sponsor so in in for some reading. OR, At the top of the the page click>search and type in saw builders or modded saws and a lot of stuff to read should pop up. Stay out of Hell's Kitchen as the guys there are rather ruff and will take your hide off given the chance.

Russ, I cut alot of Poplar,White Oak, and Red Oak in the 28" to 38" range. For this i use a 2186 Jonsered with a 28" bar, but when I get in to the big stuff I like the 3120. I just think it could have more power for the size.

What do you mean us Pennsyl-tuckians don't need 3120 to fell timber? I remember the sadly state of the New York forest with all those small caliber trees (pecker poles). :p

I can "Fisherize" it for you! It only requires a couple bottles of bourbon, and a small
amount of screaming. Oh btw, I am not a sponser, but am trying!

I would also try and talk to Dean (Klickitatsacket)at Washingto hotsaws. He is a great builder and his customer service CANT be beat by anyone!

You only call them pecker poles because you don`t know anything about trees.

I have had saws built be three builders. EHP is by far the best. Dont pizz your money away on the others.

Anyone who knows me understands how I feel about Ed`s work. My dozen or so saws done by him, after trying several other builders, is a pretty strong testament IMO. I feel the same way about KD, who unfortunately is working on an extremely limited basis at this point. KD`s limited basis ties in with Ed in an offhand way in that I know Ed is cranking saws out left and right, but he`s also booked way out. Perhaps Ed is too busy to offer a suitably quick turnaround for Dusty and I figured that since Dusty and Dan are both from Central Pa, they could work everything out face to face if they so chose.

BostonBull,

Dean seems like a real nice guy and I`ve never heard a bad word about the guy, but this statement might not hold true.

Ed has driven 5 hours or more each way to my home to pick up and deliver saws many times. Hard to beat that kind of service! :) Has Dean ever driven to your place?

Pay no attention to this man behind the curtain, he is an auto detailer! :D

Hey Simon, I`m a field tester for many items. Would you like me to send you my contact info?
