I was told the same from an instructor from a course I took over winter. I think Michigan area is getting hit pretty hard right now.

We have 15 to 25 million dead Ash here, depending on who's doing the counting... however I've been treating well over 200 Ash a year since 2001 and they are for the most part doing very well. We have found that the Ash is a pretty tough customer that if given half a chance can compartmentalize moderate to minor damage and survive. I think extinction is too strong a word IF treatment options that are available are used.
