I see bidding has ended. Did he cancel it just to relist it slightly lower cause no idiot took the bait or did someone actually fall for the sob story and pay $500 for a $75 bar.

Nuttin like being a tree/chainsaw guy and gouging the rest of the tree/chainsaw guys :bang::angry:

Way off base dude.

Nate, I think where the problem came from is that he had a BIN of $500, and stated he was giving 1/2 to charity. While that's a generous donation, that still left him profiting $250 off a chainsaw bar, making it appear that he was using the guise of a donation to increase his personal profits.. If it was his intentions to give more, he should have said so, and I don't think he would have caught the flack he did. For what it's worth, I've never dealt with the gentleman, so I have nothing personal in this. This is just how it appears to the outsider looking in.

I see your point Brad. . . But then again, in order for you to come to the $250.00 conclusion -- you would be assuming. And we all know what they say about assumptions'.

Instead of assuming he was ripping folks off, I contacted him and found out what his intentions were (and to see what I could do to help). That will always be the best way to do things. . . Simple communication.

Remember those fun, simple, gossip-circles in grade school?? You start with the word banana, and by the time it was around to the other side, it was frog.

I completely understand your frustration Nate, but it wasn't an assumption. It's what was stated, unless I misread something. I'm not trying to be ugly here at all, just trying to clear up the muddy water.

It's all good. . . Lets move forward.
