Big yearly consignmant auction next door and I just came back from looking things over and have a couple questions. There is a Jonsered 2050 turbo, looks to have been used a little hard but doesnt look very old. Is this one of the rebadged Huskies? I assume that it is decent quality and be a decent firewood saw? Also two Stihl AV32 (I think) that have 30" bars, both look nice, isn't that a lot of bar for one of those? There is the usual pile of cheapos including a dozen Poulan Wildthings. The older but quality brand saws usualy run in the $100 range at this auction and I hope to add a couple to my colection. usualy some antique saws also, maybe luck out and get a treasure.

I believe the 2050 is still a Jonsered design. Probably not a bad smaller saw. I don't know about the Stihls. If they are 032's, that is a bit much of a bar, and a pretty old design. Parts might be starting to be a problem.

2050 was still a different saw than Husky. A lot of plastic and some of them had troubles with the rewind. On the plus side, the plastic didn't break, and operator education helped a lot on rewind probs (pull easy until the dogs grab, don't long-arm to the end of the rope)
