I just bought a 372 while I could still get one.I ordered it with a 28'' bar and then decided I would also like a 20'' bar.So I ordered a 20'' bar and chain from baileys. When I put it on I'm having trouble getting the chain tension right.I snug it up then I grab the chain and spin it by hand and every so far it loosens a little, pull the chain another 5 inches then its tight again. So now I bolt the 28'' combo back on and try the same thing with no problem, nice and consistent drag all the way around. So then I picked up the 20'' deal again and watched the sprocket tip while rotating the chain on it ,it looks like the sprocket is drilled slightly off center making the chain bind every rotation of the sprocket.Anyone ever heard of this,or does the bar just need broke in?BTW the 372 is a great saw. thanks for any help-kory

Is it possible the link used to make the chain was over-spun, fit the sproket and tip correctly but effectively tightening the chain on thebar rails. I did this many times when I first got my spinner and it seems like it takes a lon gtime for them to loosen up.

67-run the saw for a while, tighten the chain cause it'll get loose being new and keep cutting. Most likely the problem is the chain like Chopwood said, good saw.
