Anyone tried these on their biner to keep their HH tether straight?

I've never seen them except for this pic, so I don't know how big they are. They look like they'd work well if they're the right size.

There are a bunch of tricks for keeping something exactly where you want it on a karabiner. The most common is a large O ring which gets put on the carabiner, twisted, put over the sling/oobject and twisted then on the carabiner again. The size of o ring depends how large the item you want to retain. Some manufacturers also make special rubber retainers to hold slings onto carabiners used mostly for rock climbing as quick draws. they're usually just called quick draw retainers.

One of those quick draw straps and a couple of retainers might work. If not I may have to go into design mode and make something.

I've made this for myself, works good, but if I forget to leave my neck loop attached it sometimes pulls the tether askew. Next one I'm going to make will have a spring steel insert to keep it U shaped.

Those bands have about a 3/8 inch hole.

I'm thinking about making a short i2i from 5 or 6 mm cordage, with some tubing on it to keep it's shape.

Does the length of it make any difference in how well it tends the HH? Most tethers I've seen only come about 3/4 of the way up the spine of the HH. Is that the sweet spot?

There's a horseshoe tether designed for the hitch hiker, its just accessory cord with eyes in shrink tube, not for life support as far as I know but works for a neck loop attachment
It's at work on my srt kit or I'd get a picture

I've seen that one. I'm gonna make something similar.

The hitch hiker setup isn't right in the pic, I'd taken it apart then put it together for the picture but backwards
