200+ Brush Bandit

Back in '98 I paid 12,000 for a 200+ with 700 hours. Came with a 6cyl Ford gas. Not sure what the diesel would have added to the price. My machine is still running strong, no major repairs, 1 clutch, a few hydraulic lines and a tune-up. Never had to replace a bearing. After a sandblast and a paint job (after 10 years use) it looks almost new. It's been an excellent addition to my business. It sounds like you did quite well compared to what I've seen on "other" tree sites. (links removed) By the way, could somepme tell me what "low hours" refers to when guys like Harv are selling these machines?
(2500?, 3000?)

Well, my "like new, under 100 hours" Rayco 1625 from Harv actually had just over 1000 hours on it.

I recall that post gr8. Did you ever resolve that issue? Note: my 200+ came from a JJKane auction in Lansing, MI. (Consumers Energy unit) Back when the auction fee was a flat $100.00, not 10% of the selling price: Just a little rant. Though I still feel you're better off at auction where you can inspect before you bid rather than buy a unit from some snake oil salesman and get the shaft.

I have turned it over to the MI state AG office. If it doesn't get resolved that way I will be persuing it with legal action.

I'm up to about $2,700 on top of the cost of the machine and still need to replace several bushings/pins and one hydraulic arm.

thanks for the update.

Good luck on that gr8. Not sure if complaints are common with that dealer, but if no one complains and buyers typically "eat" the loss, nothing changes.
