Hey All, I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the plug and buy a Bandit stumper. It will either be the 2100(?) with the 27 hp Lombardi engine, or the 60 hp. Anyone have any opinions on these machines? Thanks Pete

Don't really have an opinion on them as I've never seen one in action so i couldnt tell you. From what I've heard they are a copy of carlton, they look alot like carltons. They havent been around but just a few years and I've heard they dont have all the bugs worked out yet. I would suggest a demo of all the other grinders first. I have a carlton stump grinder and love it. I have a bandit chipper and love it too. Try some others out too, if you dont you may wish you had.

def 60

I would say with grinding stumps always go with more power. If you need to get in tight spaces then go with the most power you can bring to that space with in reason. I noticed that Bandit copied carlton. I talked with the carlton guys about it and they just shugged their shoulders. I would definatley go with carlton though. The had all the ideas bandit implemented first and from owning two machines they are high quality. I have no problem with bandit making stump grinders. I just think they could have come up with their own new ideas. would that have been more fun? you could always compromise and get something inbetween. the new self propelled kubota carlton has would be a good choice. I bet it could kick a rayco RG50's ass with a sandvik and still save you close to 20 grand...
