This never seems to happen to me but it just did and I can hardly believe it. I have been kind of looking for a bandsaw mill for the last few years but not very hard. I was at the local junk collectors place wondering around some of the stacks of junk that they have sitting there. They always seem to have the best junk. All of a sudden I reconize a bandsaw mill sitting on one of the piles. I look it over and it seems to have been there for some time but looks in good shape. Very straight with no real dings. After digging through the pile I find out it is a t30 woodmiser. Start talking to the owners and they have had it for about 4 years and never got it setup. They are willing to let it got for a very cheap price so I plop down the cash and take it home. It has one bent pulley but other wise it just needs some tlc and maybe some paint. I seem to have it working but the snow is so deep here that I cannot get to any logs to try it out. Cannot wait for the snow to go away so I can see how well it works.

I guess my only question is what is the going price for a used t30 with an 8 horse electric motor? I think I got a good deal but was just wondering what the market is for them.

Wow that's awesome!
Good find!
I haven't heard of a t 30,do you think it might be a lt 30?

I looked at some google results real quick and prices are all over the place on band mills depending largely on condition, age and powerplant( electric,gas,hp,etc)......I guess the bottom line is what was it worth to you? It sound's like it must have been a good deal if it followed you home.

I would bet someone more knowledgeable then I will be along with a better idea of what it might be worth.

Anyway congrats on the mill, good luck waiting on the snow to melt and if you have any pics you know we would love to see em!:msp_thumbsup:

You are correct it is an lt 30

Sorry about that it is an lt 30. They do not make it any more they now make the lt 28. And yes it did follow me home. Now I just need to find a way to make my money back. However that should not be to hard. My dad and I farm and can always use lumber for building repair and general stuff like that. The farm has many many trees. Mostly hard woods and cedar. Becides it should just be fun to play with. Cannot wait to get it cutting. Now if spring would just get here.
