Bar length (cutting length) question

Hey all,

My 20" bar has pretty close to 20" of cutting length, my 24" bar has pretty close to 24" of cutting length, my 28" bar... is about 26.5" of cutting length.
Can someone kindly measure their 32" Stihl lightweight bar on a saw and tell me how long the actual cutting length is? Also, does anyone know why the 28" Stihl bar is so far off the "called" length for its cutting length?

I run still bars 25 28 and 32.

I got smart and now pretty much just run the 25 on a 372 ive never measured but its less than 25 wait unless its a 28 and I think its a 25

That is a 28 on the saw 32 laying next to it.

Probly isnt a normal drive link count I remember using a carbide bur to fit the chains I have on hand fit. Also appears I dont have 25" stihl bar anymore

Evan! Thank you for your reply and for the picture. It looks in that pic like the 32" bar measures pretty close to 32" of cutting length.

my 28" light bar measured 26" from the tip to the dogs and 27" from the tip to the case with the chain on it
