I use a piece of flat steel, or hard brass two thousandths of an inch smaller than what you need (I use a .061" shim for my 63 gauge bars). Slide that into the groove, and hammer the rail tighter with a 2 pound thumb detector. Check it FREQUENTLY. If it's too tight, open it up with a screwdriver, gently, so you don' blow it way out of shape. I've found that a gap too wide doesn't carry the oil as well as a properly closed gap. I shoot for little or no wobble when the groove is tested with the chain.. Use gloves while deburring the guidebar,,,,, I've a LOT of sliced fingers from those nasty things. Much luckthanks Brad,
Any tips on setting the bar rail closer up?
Maybe I got a bad file with that thing..........cause it died very quickly...
