I am interested in knowing what sort of life can be expected from chrome barrells. I am well aware of the variables that govern this but a genuine figure would be appreciated. I have a Husky 50 (1988 New), Husky 136 (2000 New) McCulloch 310 (1981 New). All are run on 30:1 synthetics (Castrol TTS) and LOOKED AFTER. The Mac has in excess of 500 hrs and goes like a Pocket rocket.Still origional bar!!! The 50 is still on origional chain (Just) and about 70 hrs. The 136 on 2nd chain (Got tied up with a rail spike!!!) and about 50hrs. This is the only saw with a history -- a new oil pump as the teeth chewed up. So what is the concensus out there?:chainsawguy:
