Bars & sprockets for milling?

Since you are using a 28" bar successfully, I may just try a 30" bar. It would only be a limited amount of milling, but some for felling, and I would use full skip. If it doesn't work I would still use it with my Alaskan mill. And for BobL I always keep the rakers grabby, say 7º to 9º, but for small softwood would you go anymore aggressive? And I know that pics are as good as gold so as soon as I get them I will post them.

My experience with softwoods is very limited, perhaps others can answer this one.
