2003 model with 1267 hrs. Documented services with dates and hours listed on all the filters. It has the Cummins 3.3 engine, but no winch.

What is a good price for this machine? We tried it out already, and it seems to be a good tight machine. The only concern I have is the number of stress welds it seems to have. They're all over the chute and drum housing.

Thanks for any help,

TT

There is one for sale near my area for 10,500 2000 model yr with the same engine 740 hrs . looks to be in fabulous condition

We've had a few small problems. The drum was recalled and fixed under warrenty, for free and we were given a loaner during repairs. The electric shoot aimer motor mounting welds broke, got fixed, broke, got fixed, and will likely break again. The solinoid for the throttle sticks, and was replaced under warrenty. But...
I love the machine. When it's working, it is hands down the best chipper I've ever run.
We've also got an 1800 comming this winter sometime. That should be fun.

The BC1000 is not much of a chipper. The drums break apart and were a factory recall. The machine feeds poorly and has a bunch of little problems.
You would be far ahead if you opted for a 935 or a 1250. Just my 2 cents.
Funny, I rented a BC1000xl a couple of years ago- It was nearly new-less than 100 hours. I was really impressed with the way if fed and the chip quality.

BC1000XL for sale

I have a 2003? that I will sell for $8500. It will need a new drum, but otherwise is in very good condition. Located in Albany, NY

Mike, a friend of mine is the mechanic at the local Vermeer. He's got a whole bunch of 1400's that he is doing engine mounts on over the winter. 9? machines, 2 days a piece. They are all recalls.
