Best paint for sheave block?

I need to repaint a steel sheave block and I would like to have something durable. What do some of you use?
I have been thinking about appliance paint.

Would powdercoating be feasible? Seems like it would look cool

I'm trying to keep a low dollar approach. I don't have any powder coating equipment....yet. It is just the edges that need to be painted.
I don't know if I should blast the sides and then put on a fresh coat or just touch it up. I don't want it to rust.

Not to derail, is there a need to repaint, I have used blocks that are about bear with little paint. I am more concerned about the mechanics of the block than looking pretty at 80 feet in the air. I finally got a ISC flame block (no paint). This may not help, but just another angle.

The block is in A-1 condition. The edges are bare, but I suppose they will be bare again soon even if I do re-paint it.....
Your ISC block is probably stainless. My block is steel. Rust is killer on a rope.

Isn't it galvanized?

I have never had rust on steel carabiners, steel ring friction saver, 2 non-stainless pulleys/blocks, steel porta-wrap, etc...

I'm thinking paint is not necessary. I doubt paint will give you problems, but you never know how it will (or likely won't) react with your rope, etc...

I carry a microfibre cloth and a small air pump up the tree with me, so I can keep the saw tidy between cuts.

Yeah I have a small can of DMM green to touch up my biners when the anodising wears
