Check out the on-line sellers, but be sure to give your local shop a shot at it too. The larger saws have more margin in the pricing, and my local dealer quoted me prices that we comparable to on-line pricing. I was impressed, and will likely be picking up a 385XPG thru him.

Bailey's sent me my 385xp. At the time a 1.5 years ago, they were the best price! No problems yet.

Assuming you're only shopping on price it depends what package you're looking for:
$840 + $30 shipping at Baileys (best deal powerhead only)

$890 with 20" bar & chain + $27 shipping at CCD (best deal if you want to purchase chaps or 20" LG loops at the same time since they have good prices on both and it won't bump you into more expensive shipping)

$899 with 28" bar, two chains, scabbard, sharpening file, & shipping at Alamia (best deal 28" bar)

$926 with 36" bar, chain, 2 bottles of oil, safety glasses, & shipping at Southwest Fastener (best deal with 36" bar)

I've had repeated good experiences with both Baileys and SW Fastener.

around here I can get the 395 for around $950 plus tax canadain, about a $100 less than a 660

If I wanted a 395, which I don't, it would be $850 plus tax. I can get a ms 660 for $800 plus tax.

if anyone is still looking for a 395 there has been a bunch of new ones on ebay in the last week. selling for around 670.00. i just picked up another one at 665.00. there are 2 more to go off in 2 days one is at 650 the other is at 665.00 just search under husqvarna 395xp and they will come up. just let each other know if your going to bid so you guy's don't bid against each other.

people are nut's a used 395 just sold on ebay for 595, yesterday i bought one new in the box for 665.
