Sorry I just got an iPhone and tapatalk is different n I can't find the search bar but any ways I'm interested in getting a speed line set up was just wondering what rope is the go to rope? Spliced eye or no? Diameter? What beaners are suitable for this.

Steel biners are better, imo. They don't wear out near as fast. When I run a speed line I use the most static rope I can find. Currently km something. KMIII, maybe. I usually basal anchor the line rather than a canopy anchor.

I use the cheapest, non locking biners I can find. I also just zip down my rigging ropes. Quantity is important. 10 sling/biner combos at a minimum. I have 3 different length slings.

Rope is basically a preference/situational decision. I like there to be as little sag as possible. As far as the non lockers.. I used to do that, too. Until I saw one jump off the rigging line. No damage, but I was amazed. Most run of the mill steel auto lockers are no more expensive that most aluminum non lockers.

I think static line is the way to go. If your zip line is sagging your losing advantage of the zip line. You'll be surprised how much stretch you get even with the rope pulled tight.
