Whats the best all round size excavator/backhoe for general tree/lot clearing?,what machines are you land clearer's using

cat 312 / cat 330 / kobelco ed190 blade runner / bobcat t300 to clean up the small stuff

Yes. A T300 is a good machine but for me personally I would not use because it is to small. Go with a 908 or larger loader with bucket and grapple and a 312 or larger excavator with " ". Hope this helps you - Jared

Forget the backhoe. The same size excavator will do 5 times the work, and if you look at Bobcat's website, there are all kinds of attachments for an excavator. I'm sure the other manufacturers would have similar attachments for their machines.

Koa Man if you haven't read the other posts thats what me and ASD have been saying. And a bobcat would be wayyy to small for what he is doing. He needs a 312 or 314 or larger ex with thumb combined with a 914 or larger loader with grapple and a 18" chipper or tubgrinder.

I have a very large Allis 715B backhoe loader... with chains on the tires... I am using it for building my house so i have made a roade with it.... I gotta tell you if you are gonna be in the woods / wet places a lot get an excavator....but i will say it is nice to be able to go down the road. man once you get good with it pulling stumps is nothing... no matter the size.
