Wrong fuel filters

Seeing this in the shop quite often. Filters in Stihl saws withe wrong size nipple for the fuel hose. Aftermarket is selling the string trimmer filter for the saws. Lets a lot of dirt into the carburetor and plugs the screen. Watch what you are buying. If it doesn't push into the hose without a little difficulty, it ain't right.

Again, me complaining about aftermarket (incorrect) parts and making good money off these issues.
 
I call them fat filters and regular filters. The fat filters are more for molded lines and the regular filters for just poking in the end of a standard size piece of gas line.

Problems I have seen are from fiber aftermarket filters where the fibers dislodge and stop up the screen.
