I want to put in a new hole to run my smoke pipe into the other flue which has no opening for aa smoke pipe. Brick chimney then clay tile liner. And any one have an average price on what it would cost to have the chimney inspected.

I can't help you with cost of an inspection but it shouldn't be too difficult to put in a new hole. Question though, how come the chimney has no hole? If you are talking about just changing the location then I understand, if it has none I would question why. Also if you are changing locations I would brick and mortar the old hole in. I would drill a series of holes around the perimeter of the desired hole size, take your time as the clay tile if not mudded in around it could crack and break.

do it with a core drill.....DONT try and drill a circle with cement bits,,then break it out,,talk about a ROUGH hold!! a core drill,,will make a nice smooth hole,,and wont take but about I minute to drill it,,once you have it set up!! you can rent em....
