Best way to prune wind damaged evergreens?

Client not quite ready to remove/replace these. Lots of wind damage. What would you guys recommended to make them a bit better looking? Most of the damage is one sided and pruning that off would look terrible. So at a bit of a loss here.

Already recommended replacement.

It looks like a chemical burn. Maybe snow plowed snow around them containing salt/chloride or some other deicer.

Its wind burn. Been getting worse slowly and from the wind ward side. They don't get much tlc or water.

They dont ice melt. Just sand sometimes

Is that limestone gravel?

What a horrid place for a tree to try to grow. Not surprised they are struggling based on those pictures. Is there any soil there?

Is there landscape fabric under the gravel?
