Anybody ever used one of these?

Can it really be called a chainsaw?

Looks like a mini, mini elecric saw with an extra appendage.

It's the first time I've ever seen an 'as seen on TV' product somewhat related to chainsaws.

Probably a good gimmick. When is the stihl version comming out?

I was going to make my own, with my junk Mcc 32cc. :D A scaled up version.

Here's my Poulan "non pro" brushcutter I made. It has parts from 4 trimmers into it. :D I ported the exhaust, too. I drilled holes in the muffler, to get rid of restriction. The air cleaner is off in that part, but I had it off to spray starting fluid in it.

And yes, that is a circular saw blade on the end. :D

When can I expect to see you pedaling grey market copies of it on late night TV?

I like how the video says it is less intimidating than a chainsaw. I never really found a chainsaw intimidating. Maybe because I own 3, plus the ones I'm too ashamed to mention (Mcculloch 32cc). :D

Also, if anything, it would replace the Magic Bullet or Showtime Knife set informercials. :D

Qoute:Cuts brush better than advertised, April 24, 2006
Reviewer: Jazz (Minnesota) - See all my reviews
This is the first product I've found that works even better than advertised. We've taken out lots of buckthorn in our yard which left us with piles of brush that we were cutting with a hand held loper. Needless to say a handheld loper is tiresome and a regular chainsaw was too big to cut the brush. However, after seeing this Alligator loper on TV I had to have one. This loper is the perfect tool for cutting up small brush and trees. It's also safer than a chainsaw because of the blade guards, very light weight (6.5 pounds) and very easy to use. I really like how it clamps around the tree as it's cutting. After buying this tool my chainsaw won't be getting much use.

HMMMMMMMM......... 6.5 pounds???? Seems my 192t wieghs about that and will cut a lot more!!!!
All this fun and only a hundred bucks to boot, I'd better get three:ices_rofl:

That little Olympyk in my avatar weighs a couple more pounds than that, I bet that can cut a lot more, faster. It sure oudoes my cheap Mcc. :D
