Black Walnuts and Black Ash

I have on my property mostly Black Walnut with some Black Ash and Sugar Maple mixed in. It seems that most of the Ash and the Maple have alot of dead branches. I assume that this means they are dying. Is it time to drop them for firewwod? Any ideas?
