Hi all,
I was in Boonville on Friday, too many other commitments like my son`s birthday party and a company picnic to spend the weekend there. So anyway, I went looking for the Dolmar display and easily found it right across from the CCD and George Kahler setups. I might add that CCD and Kahler`s are two bigtime dealers of Husky, Echo, and Stihl so it seemed unfair that Dolmar got stuck in there with them.

So I`m talking to the guy wearing the Kimber`s shirt, he is a salesmen for the distributor(Kimber`s) in this area. very nice guy and actually reasonably knowledgeable. He asked where I had learned of the 7900 because I walked right over and grabbed it like I knew what I wanted. I told him that I ran one last year and that a few of my online friends recommended them. He says "oh yeah, I hear that they really talk well about the 7900 at some arborsite or something like that, do you know what I`m talking about". Sure do buddy! Looks like Terry aka Dolmar_Tech_Manager has been bringing our feedback home. that`s very nice to know.

I also made one other observation while there, the list price is $759 in this area and I know that Dan`s list is $815 or thereabouts. I asked about this and all the guy could say is that "Pennsylvania is weird". Sorry Dan.

So I just thought that you guys might be interested to know that we are getting some notoriety here at AS, and oh yeah, may be a Dolmar dealer near Oswego soon.

Great. Maybe the other manufacturers look here once in a while, and can get some suggestions here for improving their equipment. Maybe the president of Stihl knows who Beavergirl is.

Jokers, I saw that display and that same Kimber's rep on Sunday but didn't have a chance to go over. Tell us about the saw if you would.

Russ
I am glad you like the Dolmar saws. They do need more dealers in our countries and I wish you luck if you take them on.
My list price on the PS7900 with 20" bar and chain is
819.95 and that price is set by JP Fuller who is the East Coast distributor.I guess the East Coast must be weird for having that price as they have the same distributor.
Saws are just like new cars and other items out there. You cant sell anything at list price.
I sell the 7900s with 20" B/C for 750.00 plus shipping.
I wish I would have had the opportunity to speak with the Kimber person.I have had one of the custom classic target models for a few years now.The pistol is accurate enough but the trigger is terrible.Mine has the polymer trigger and the trigger itself bind up in the frame.I complained to Kimber about it from day one.My reply was that I could return the pistol and they would replace it with a metal trigger at my expense? I don't think so.I purchased that hand gun because of there reputation.I have fired about 30 round through it and I refuse to use it again. It wouldn't hold a candle in fit or finish to my old 1966 vintage Colt National Match.

Before I call my disturber and complain about them treating other dealer better then me,I do have a question.
If the list price was 759. how much are they selling the saws for?

Kimbers suck, maybe that's why most left and went to Cooper Arms. Gotta go with the Colts. I wish I had shown you my collection Freedom Arms.

Hi Dan, there may be some special show pricing that the Kimber`s rep did not mention, but the price was very low. I will email it to you because I don`t want to start any grudges and it may well have no validity outside of Boonville. I`m sorry that I even posted hard numbers in my intial post, I should have just said that the prices were noticably different or something, just thought it very odd.

BTW, different Kimber`s. This is Kimber`s Automotive or something like that. They are distributors for many products around here.

Huskyman,
The president of Stihl is Beavergirl, just ask Fish.

wmthrower,
So much has already been said about the 7900 that I would bore you by rehashing it all but I would be glad to answer any questions you may have.

BTW, House Trucking of Central Square,NY is an old school saw shop that takes care of the customer. Too bad that they are trying to sell out. Ken and Danny are two of the best.

I was also there looking at the 7900 a good looking saw. It has a rounded cover over the air cleaner leading back to the trigger handle. I also looked at the 9010 and for some reason it's shaped differant than the rest of the saw line up.

Thats because you are all wierd

I have relatives from PA, and they are wierd too

Hi
I figure that the next time someone asks me what state I am from I wont have to say Pa, we will be known as Keystone Weird from now on.
The 9010 will go through the change of life and it will have the bubble shape in the near future.

Sure now you tell me about your Freedom Arms,I thought you just collected those multi projectile fire arms.
