My helmet is pretty new and the stupid headgear cracked right where the piece that wraps around the back of your head goes into the adjuster. I was cutting and turning my head when I realized somthing was flapping back there, I couldn't believe it broke already.

I grabbed some electrical tape and fused it back together for the time being. Anyone have this problem before?

I'll have to check mine, it's a year or so old and I was getting ready to order another couple.

Sorry that happened - be sure to check out the warranty routes.

It's really important to replace the suspension. A lot of guys think that the hard shell is the most important part of a hard hat, and it does protect you from sharp things, but the suspension is designed to absorb impact and should be replaced after taking a big hit, or when it breaks.

I called where I bought it after seeing it was under warranty, they are mailing a new headgear right away. They asked if it was in storage or if I was wearing it, I was wearing it. Broke while I was limbing a pine on the way up.
