Well the bucket truck took a dump yesterday. we lost the the belt tensioner for the serpitine belt and it over heated. So we may have to play mechanic today and its really warm. 22 degrees this morning. good times.

Got word from Altec our boom will cost 15k to repair. Going to the boneyard with that. It's a 96, LR IV 50. Has a 454 in it. GMC - old Ashplundh truck. Beat up pretty bad, but we did put a tranny in it 3 yrs ago, so that sucks. Anyone dealt with Schmidy's out of Illinois ?

don't want the liability
too intricate a part to mess with. I don't doubt if someone could access it, they could weld it and it would be good to go. But not us. Too much to lose. Want it done right, don't like funerals. Was offered 4.5k for the truck , am going to take it and move on. We're just a mom and pop, so thats the way it goes.

I have, twice. First time was ok, this time however, they suck!
Bandaged alot of stuff to hide, found some things that would border criminal, I will never deal with them again. They lie pretty bad, told me stuff that was replaced or fixed, all BS.
Call them and try to ask a question, no love.
They will not honor anything, nothing but used car salesmen, tell u anything they can to get the sell.

they're numbers seem fair, but after hearing this treatment, we'll certainly look harder at other units. Being straight up with people is paramount. If it is garbage, tell me its garbage, I don't like sugarcoating. Thanks again.
