I just picked up a Bandit 1590 and need some hydro fluid for it but it says to only use "Petro Canada XV-Hydrex" both on the tank and in the manual which is impossible to find. Are there any alternatives?

The Petro Canada stuff isn't readily available and it isn't particularly special. I think its a high quality fluid but any good AW46 will work just fine.
You might want to just go ahead and change the fluid and stick to one brand. Generally a good idea.
If your in a cold area you might want to step down to a thinner grade 32.
