Looks ok, its not a 60' though, look at the truck above it, that is a 60' or I think a 65' Hi Ranger. Check out the stick, way out over the front of the cab, chassis looks the same on both trucks. I like the winch, throw in an offer, not sure how much. I have ran them, they are good booms, IH is a decent truck.

Make sure it is Altec and not asplundh made, they had issues when I worked for them and would red flag in ten years no matter how well maintained.

They both look like LR111 booms, the cover at the knuckle is missing on the orange truck and it has sleeves on the upper stick. Asplundh hasn't made booms for quite a while, Altec is not connected, independent of Asplundh.

That one in the pic I ran one like it brand new in 93 it is a copy
by altec of the asplundh lift. They are ok but their drive cables have broke
brand new! I like the lifts altec makes that are all hydraulic no cables other than leveling. Or my high ranger the cable is twice as large! I would ask when they changed out the drive cable last if I wanted it to work immediate but I was at a site where one broke and killed a man and the lift was two months old! I am not trying to scare you just stating fact.

Haha maybe my bucket truck buying skills are a hell of alot better than my towable lift buying skills!!! So what does it uselly cost to change out those cables?

I would ask them to do it in the buy order but It depends if you
can do it or have to have it done! I would call altec to get prices
on that!

They are very versatile lifts but not real heavy duty! I have worked them
several years! You will want to get a pistil grip instead of the controls it
most likely has!

Pistol grip, and Hi Ranger, You know it Rope. I prefer the Hi Ranger, and the pistol grip, why those stupid levers are still on trucks is beyond me. I ran an LR111 with the lever controls not long back. It sucked, especially when I accidentaly hit the rotation lever with the 020. Suprised me big time, something that wouldn't be possible with a pistol grip.

Yeah I like my high ranger its old but good:cheers:
Really I would rather have a crane with remotes and cage over any bucket if the one I wanted was not 275000.00 I would trade today
