Bucket truck problem?

We have a 1999 f450splus bucket truck and the lift isn't working correctly. It goes up and down just fine but only side to side when it wants to. We checked the hydrolic fluid and that's fine. Any idea what this is or what could be causing it? I really hope it is an easy fix.

On my Altec, sometimes the controls don't work properly and I find if I cycle the emergency stop button things work properly again. It seems to get knocked now and then and restricts fluid flow through the pistol grip control.

How big is a boom on a f450?
