has anybody used the black cotton one with leather straps a buddy of mine swears by them but i have my doubt about comfort any input?

dont go cheap on a saddle go try them. when your nuts start getting pinched your gonna regret one of the old leather ones with d rings. i put up with that crap for years now im wearing the sherrill one and its the cats ass compared to my old stuff.

Tree Climbing Harness & Harness Climbing Gear this the one you have? It looks about the same as the cougar. I like the belt style so I can sinch it up so it dont fall of my a$$.

Do you have the edge?

i climb on a puma. i dont have any complaints although my brother is bigger and *softer* than me and he says it hurts his inner thighs. the saddle is adjusted for me though and i doubt he does anything other than reset the thigh strap thickness, so it doesnt really surprise me that he's uncomfortable. lots of padding, plenty of places to hang gear and lots of strap space to add pouches. top that off, its not too expensive.
