That 'critical corner' wearing just a bit may enhance longevity!

....and could be easily touched up with a file.

I do have a CBN square grind wheel that I got custom made years ago for my USG.

I'll dig it out and post photos.

Yes.

Make sure that the right and left cutters are the same length. I've always had to make minor adjustments.

Grind the worst side first then match up the better side for the same length.

I bought half an old USG for £50 / $65. The motor runs. I'm thinking that it will be fairly easy to fabricate a support frame (maybe even from unistrut?) and add a spare chain vice. And maybe have a go at making a square grinding attachment based on the Stihl one.

With all that work, why not use the motor and fabricate something like a Simington or RSII?
