Do any of you guys know where or if I can buy bar oil bulk (30 or 55 gal drum)? Needs to be cheaper than I'm buying Husky oil right now by the case. Really would like to have a brand name (Husky, Stihl etc.) even though I know they aren't in the oil business and don't make their own (I'll be happy to buy from there supplier).

Before I switched to Stihl Bio Plus I ran bulk bar oil. Chevron red is good oil. Just call the local bulk distributors.

That's what we do. We get spill oil for $55 a barrel (55 gallons). Usually 30w with a hydraulic mix. I have airplane oil in the drum I have now.

Got a buddy who works at one. I'll give him a call. You are talking about regular bar oil that's made for saw right? I already wrecked one pump using junk. Won't make that mistake again.

You have never seen a mess until you start trying to fill gallon jugs with bar oil out of a 55 gallon drum.

That's no problem. We have a variety of pumps around here and the oil will be in a heated building so I believe it will flow ok.
