Over tea-time we were musing over if there were any wood with dangerous tree fungus/diseases that should not be burned in a fireplace? ie: should London Plane Tree (Platanus acerifolia) be used as a fuelwood?

Huh??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the fungus burn??

There is the same myth about burning oak wilt wood.

It hit 108 here today, not too concerned about firewood. ;)
