You dont have to appoligize to me, that was some funny stuff right there. :)

I just dont want to see you get booted is all - you add alot of color to this place.

Treeco does seem like a smart old bastard indeed. however, I'm not so sure I wouldve been able to let that one go either though. Big dif between twenty yrs exp. and five, seems like the newer guys really hate the fact that no matter what they cant catch up to that. Just an observation based on some of my expieriences in dealing with some of the whack jobs out there.

I always took that into consideration when I was younger but I was/am cockey though not as cockey as some might think I am. I think the biggest part of this work is respect and have always tried to keep that in mind throughout the years. I mean respect for every aspect. I think one can be cockey and still maintain repsect... I think.

And while putting camo on the truck might be really cool I would think having high ( the highest possible) visabliity would not be a thing one should not compromise.

Not only that but do you guys notice the new style marker lights on these new cars and such? I should say UN-NOTICE. Man, what are they thinking? I know what they are thinking, " it looks cool", but its hard to see the blinkers on these. Really.

Being a little cocky and not being able to take critisism/learn from your seniors is a different thing too. Me, I find it hard to shut my mouth about stuff, mostly because I'm pretty anal about there being a certain way to go about things. But then it seems some of these guys just dont want to hear anything, I guess they figure they know it all. But to really be good is not so simple, it takes time and knowing your place for a while.

Too bad you killed yer thread.

Camo rocks! My chip truck is is dark green with a black box, I dont really care about visability, I just think it looks cool. lol.

Redneck! I gotta admit I'm a bit on the cocky side but compared to what's near me in the talent pool, I ####in' earned my place at top. It does make it hard to step back and see how much more experience I have to get before I"m "there" though. Guys on this site talkin' 'bout biology and science of trees and I'm still reveling in the sawchips up my nose and big pieces on a rope. Gotta step back sometimes and get a bigger perspective to keep things in check.

I'm definitely not "there" yet by any means and I hear ya with the perspective thing. not sure where I want "there" to be at this point...sort of at an arbor crossroads at the moment; to arb, or not to arb is the question really. I cant see mds never pruning again as of next year when the licence I was working under runs out due to lack of cue's. I'm getting some perspective lately thats for sure. An arborist friend of mine offered to give me ten percent to prune my trees, he's like "..yeah, so if its like a $2000 tree, you would get $200. I really wasnt quite feeling it.

10 % for actual jobs? the 10% rule I know of is for leads if they pan out, but for continuous pruning jobs and regular customers ?? man, I'd think 30% + . tell him to pound sand and earn regulars.

I think he meant for actual jobs...doesnt matter, it aint gonna happen. I'm gonna get that friggin licence if it kills me. Then I intend to start selling more of that type of work to fill in the slow spells (I really dont push it now, just dont feel right about it under the circumstances). Theres really no choice anyways. Its that perspective thing. makes me stop and think, well yeah, duh! all the big boys had to do it at some point. Its really the only way to get to the next level far as I can see. I suppose on the bright side theres some benefits $$$$ :)

You need a license to do any pruning up there? I was thinking about getting my CA but the CEU's turn me off. I'm already paying out for my partners courses and he's already a CA. I would like the knowledge and would need some sort of regimen to push me to get it but I don't wanna pay double dues to the ISA, ya know?

Not Pink Slayer!, How do you spell Magenta? Dark pink with a black hue , add some yellow and Powder blue like the San Diego Chargers! :jester:

Norv Turner, another redskins retread..:dizzy:

And if I did camo on a piece of equipment or truck, it would be the Digital pattern, done right.
