I guy at the log yard had what looked to be oregon chisel chain supposed to be sharpened with 7/32 round file he uses some square file. It cut awesome turned good to( cutting archways). He left for work up north before I could ask more. Has antone heard of this If so is there any tricks.

If you try to use the search function, you'll find endless talk about chain filing, much of it square. Some keywords to try: race chain, square filed, hot saws, etc.

I do some square filing.. I also buy 3/8 chain already square filed, in full comp, semi skip, and full skip.

around here CL chain is sometimes hard to get so most use the normal LG chain that you are to use a round file on and square file it or grind it
