Hey Jeff, I take down alot of oaks out n alpine area for an older couple friends of mine and all the Live oaks out there are dying from those Emerald ashborer beetles. Killing oaks all over southern california. Sad but is what it is. I live by Eastlake, guess thats what happens when they try and plant trees in the desert. Awfully dry in them hills.

I will be in Alpine next week removing a few dead pine and oak. Are you sure it is EAB and not GSOB? Gold-spotted oak borer is now running rampid in the east county. If you look at the exit hole, it will look like this 'D'. Do you know where Alpine Village is? That is where I'll be.
Jeff :)

Yeah , I got mixed up it happens this early in the morn. I posted a link on my previous post to the descanso site for the GSOB. They are makin for some bad fire conditions with all the dead trees out there. I see alot of guys tryin to sell it as firewood too out there with a truck load on the corner. Im sure you have as well.

Jeff, just on TCIA site, seen your company on there, how does the Accreditation work?, couldn't find what all is involved on the site.
Getting my insurance info to them on Monday

Wow!, Where to start? First, become a CTSP. I am #519. Have any full time worker's do the same with you. As I am not the owner of the company, I can only say it takes being committed. It is pretty intense. It takes about a year or 2 to get it. Totally worth it if you are a large co. and bid on big jobs. This year alone, 2 bid request's required TCIA Accredited status. I believe this will become a trend starting with higher profile job's. The Hollywood Bowl, the campus of UCLA, etc,, job's we have done, now will be introduced to this in the bidding process. Your insurance rates will get a break, your employees will feel like you care about them,,etc. Let me know if you want info on getting started although you can do it yourself. TCIA.org should be able to get you started.
Jeff :)

ps. When I fill out an accident report, one of the question's is "Could this accident have been avoided?". The answer is alway's Yes.

Absolutely I do! Any help would be much appreciated. I am trying to put my self in that very situation, lots of large scale projects around here, Davey is the only on they call, they are TCIA accredited of course, want to make sure that I get the opportunity to bid these as-well.
