What is the best carabiner to use for a petzl sequoia swing climbing saddle? What way should the gate opening on the carabiner be facing? I have always had it facing toward mebut i have had other people say it should be facing away from me. Which way is correct?

I would also love to know which way is the "correct" way. I've always had it toward me, but have seen a few the other way.. Looks off if you ask me.
