I thought all these AM carbs were based on the Zama carb. Are you saying some were based on the Walbro HD 12 design ?

And would need the Walbro kit to repair/rebuild ?

I will get the numbers off the body of my carb. Maybe that will clarify which design it copied, The Walbro HD or the Zama C3.

i can tell just looking at the pump side cover that it's a zama copy.

You are correct, the numbers on the body of my carb is C3,which is the Zama copy. I can find no evidence of any Chinese copy of the Walbro HD 6 or HD 12 design. Even the direct replacement(advertised) for the walbro carb reverts to the Zama C3 copy.
