I know that the cutter wheel bearings should be purged with grease. The manual says that the Jack Shaft bearings should be given a few pumps of grease but the machine has a label near the jackshaft that indicates that the bearings should be purged. Go figure! Does anyone know for sure what the Jackshaft bearings should receive regarding grease ?

I noticed the same thing marked on my machine bearings, (7015TRX). Purging them makes a huge mess with grease slung everywhere. I talked to someone at the factory, not long after buying my machine, and they recommended using 2 pumps of grease in each bearing every time I use it.
I believe that is plenty, as I have a little grease coming out of the bearings on a regular basis, but not a big mess of it being slung out.
If I happen to run all day, which is rare, I put 2 more pumps of grease in each bearing at lunchtime.

A couple shots. I over greased them and took one of them out,(too much grease on a QMC bearing is bad). the jackshaft bearings are the outer ones the inner bearings are for the up and down pivot on the cutter wheel.

Hi, I have also noticed this sticker on my machine warning they should be purged and likewise in the manual just a couple of shots of grease. My UK dealer told me( Carlton keep putting this purging sticker on near the jackshaft bearings for some reason) to only grease lightly as per manual. Incidentally now have new kubota 66 horsepower sp7015 and it also has this sticker in same place-weird.
