Cast Aluminum "Cadillac" Pads??

Anyone know what company actually manufactures the Cast Aluminum Spur Pads that are sold at Bailey's, Wesspur and elsewhere?

They seem pretty popular, but I can't find any info on the actual maker...

I have seen them referred to as Opsal Aluminum Pads so that may help.

I was at WS, and they told me they were having serious QC problems with them. He showed me some they were sending back, miscast.

I had intendd to by the cadillac pads, but I went with the ultra stiff tops and love them.

I bought a pair of Caddy's and they needed to be filed to get them to fit properly. One side was almost perfect, the other needed some serious filing. After it was all said and done they are great.

The Ultra stiffs have a metal insert that can be shaped exactly to your shin size, and tons of padding with two straps. Seems like a good blend between a regular two strapped pad the the cadicallc pads.

The name ultra stiff is misleading, they are really comfy. Then again I have skinny shins, so the configurability is welcome. Also WS didn't have the narrow cadillac pads on hand when I was there, so I didn't get to do a back to back comparison.

Hope you boys are right!! I just ordered ultra stiff pads yesterday from wespur. I kept getting blisters on my legs from those crappy L pads. Should be in next Tuesday so I can use them Wednesday (come on ups).

Did you order straps? One of my brothers tried my pads a couple weeks ago and ordered someultra stiffs for his spurs but forgot to order a second strap for each side.
