Finally found a way to use the short scraps left over from my cues. Dunno why I never thought of it before. Got the wood. Got the machinery & tooling. Just now got the idea :msp_blink: Seriously took like 5 minutes from square chunk of wood to pressing the file in. I made two, one for my 7/32 & one for my 5/32 files. A little wipe of danish oil & done. Left enough up front to protect the tip of my thumb, always seem to be jamming it into the rakers.

Nice. I see eBay sales on the horizon for you. Make a collar out of polished copper tubing for the business end.

Good idea! The copper sleeve, not ebay :msp_tongue: These are so simple & quick to make, and from scraps, I couldn't think of selling them. Might make up a few to give away, though. Perfect gift for saw nuts. For the idea, i'll make one for you :)

No charge for the hint. The collar adds some strength to the end to help keep the wood from splitting. I made a few of those many years ago. Like tools, they grew feet and walked away. :msp_mad:
