chain gauge question

Hi guys can I run .058 chain on a .050 bar?? Or can I run .050 chain on .058's bar.? thanks

The drive tangs that fit into the groove on 58 guage chain will not fit into the 50 guage bar. The 50 guage chain will fit on the 58 guage bar but the drive tangs will be free to flop from side to side and your chain will not cut straight.

You need to keep the guage and the bar size the same - it just will not work right anyother way!
