I am a newbie.....but what is the best chain grinder for the money?...no rockefeller here just tired of paying 6 bucks for service....

i'd say the MAXX grinder .

seems to have alot of features for the money and be well made.

the northern one is the cheapest in all aspects of the word.it is by far not the best.

grinder

I have Nick the grinder and thought it was great, and then I got the Maxx grinder and it does everything a lot better and easier. I can do the raker's and full chisel with out any trouble. My chains seem to cut better with the Maxx. I'm going to set my Nick the gr
inder up for doing just the raker's. Jim

P>S> I grind both sides of the chain into the middle so I don't leave a burr on the cutting edge of the tooth

Maxx Grinders

I am now THE biggest seller of MAXX grinders on Ebay and also sell them in my shop. I purchased ALL of the GB-MAXX units available in the US a few months ago.

Anyway, I have them listed for $295.00 on ebay with FREE shipping. But, AS Members get a discount. PM me for details on ordering.

Any AS member (USA lower 48 States only for free shipping) that PMs me for a brand new GB MAXX grinder that includes 3 wheels (same as OREGON 511A, wheels available also through Bailey's), tool kit, manual and OREGON chain chart will be able to buy one for $280.00 with free shipping to the lower 48.

I only have 6 units left though for you guys so if you want one please hurry, first come first serve. Once the saw season starts, they will be on eBay and available by calling or PM-ing me.
