I am looking to buy a chain spinner the bench mounted pressed steel welded type. My question is I am looking a the woodsman pro from Baileys and the one from Cutters choice which I think is an Oregon, both of the spinners show different anvils on the spinner side for the different chain pitch, but the cutter choice spinner show different options of sizes for the take up handles also for the different chain pitch. Am I missing some thing on the woodsman pro spinner or is this an option that is not needed to do the 3/8,.325 and 3/8 low pro. If any one has experience with one or both of these spinners how well or not well they work and how they are built it would be appreciated.

ive got the woodsman pro spinner, and breaker for that matter. i am happy with it, i use it for 3/8 and the occasional .325 and it works quite well. i think some other parts came with it but i can't remember all of them, sorry

+1 on the woodsman pro spinner. works fine... buy the combo kit as it's a better deal.

+1 on the combo kit, unless of course u already have a breaker, u don't realize how much easier having a breaker is rather than using a grinder until u have some set up on your workbench at home

I like my set

I have spliced a few chains together with a gas torch and a hammer. :buttkick:

The set from Baileys is very good. Only beef I have with it is the chain scale.
I finally got it setup, and it is barely into the "close" catagory. :(
The chain doesn't match the scale very well at all. It is close enough that I can figure out which link to use. Not a real big deal, but could have been better.
