Hi Members,
I have a Sears chainsaw 51cc and i need to know how to adjust the carbarator. I have had this saw back to sears 3 times. The saw just dowsn't like to run when you give it the gas. It tends to almost die. Where would A pro start to trouble ahoot this saw.

I am about ready to toss this saw in my pond. It just won't cut. I have a brand new chain on it since the first one I have is dull, From what I have read here in the last few months the men that grind chain seem to heat it real bad in my town.
Regards.

Sounds like you need a carb kit.

Second of all, my six year old knows more about chain saws than anyone at sears.

Find a good reputable shop, or perhaps you might know someone who could help you do it.

If you are mechanicly inclined at all, you can overhaul a carb.

With all of the knowledge on this forum, the guys here could walk you through it.

Welcome to A/S, there is a goldmine of information here.

Mike

Sears saw

A pro would use it for a boat anchor. Stop trying to fix this one and go buy a saw at a saw dealer not a department store. When Sears fixed it did it not run right? By the third attempt at fixing it, it should have dawned on you to take it somewhere else to get it fixed or buy a new saw, it would be cheaper than fixing this one.

Find a model number on the small tag and post it so we can look
at the blowup of your saw and give you better help, these Electrolux saws have common trouble areas.

Now that sears is selling some of the Husky line I would suggest that you take it back for there satisfaction guarantee, and trade up to a Husky.
The rest of there line, in order to meet emission standards, are factory set very lean and will not last very long. Good luck Jon
