Hi everyone, I picked up a nice little McCullough Mac 3200 and am going to put a carburetor kit in it. All the kits that I have found have one diaphragm and two reed valves, do I put both reed valves in it or just one of them, they look like they are identical. Thanks! Steve

Just one, Zama has different material pump diaphragms for different fuels.

Which one (color) was in the carb when you took it apart?

Do you run ethanol gas in your equipment?

From Zama:

Fuel Pump Diaphragms:

The tan Teflon coated pump diaphragm has been superseded by the clear mylar diaphragm. If your carburetor does not have a machined fuel pump surface you cannot use either the tan or the clear diaphragm. You must use the black buna diaphragm also found in the kits. All three diaphragms found in the Zama carburetor kits offer resistance to alcohol fuels.

It was black and had a clear/see through piece of material over it. Yes there is ethanol in our gas. Thanks everyone for your help.
