I had a little mishap today involving the clutch on my 550 XP . I looked around on every site because a new OEM clutch, no rim drive or sprocket, no caged bearing,just a clutch with 2 new springs is $99. I finally found new OEM for $74.99. That got me thinking, so I started pricing almost every new OEM part it would take to build a 550 XP and came up with roughly $1650. Closer to $2000 if time/labor is worth anything. I see new 550s on sale for $589. Needless to say, I will not be as picky about wanting OEM parts next time something breaks or wears out.
