Cylinder replacement.

I just bought a new cylinder for my Stihl 026 Non-Pro. This is the first time
I do this. Is there anything special I should do, or not do?
The piston is inside the cylinder now, is it difficult to get it inside again if I take it out?
Any experienced lumberjacks with some useful hints for a newbie?

One don't do; break the ring!
One doo doo; get the piston in the proper side to the exhaust, not necessarily the way it is stuffed in the cyl. now.

The piston rings have to be compressed to get it back in. rings have to be properly placed in regard to the gap locating pins. Cylinder must not be rotated or ring end could pop out and snag on port edge. Piston pin retainer clips must not be overcompressed or nicked with pliers. ends must be either up or down not on one side or the other. intake boot and impulse lines all have to be tested and leak tight. The cause of the original failure should be determined to avoid perhaps trashing the new jug and piston. I think it might be good to get some help. Run it over to Mange. Sprokka Svensk?
