Just wondering how many of you are going to remain in Florida or else depart for it if Frances makes landfall anywhere near there?

I bet people are ordering parts like mad to prepare for the storm or else fix the broken down equipment from Charlie.

Anyway, good luck to you and safe climbing.:)

Frances is on the exact same track as Hugo and Fran and the timing is the same as it was for Fran in '96, which hit on Sep 6-7. Spooky.

Yeah, let it turn north, to Bermuda or Greenland. Our ground is so wet we'd have major major blowdowns. I relish the idea of broken branches because those trees are saveable. But a whole tree on its side is a sad sight.

thinkingabout

may chase it. depends on how far north it comes.
could use some help. we could link up in Jaxsonville.
I got all climbing gear and saws. But thats all

I'm ready to chase when i comes. All saws and gear w/ trailer. Liability ins. also. Anyone gonna need a sub? Or possibly a partner?

Decided to go

I remeber Hugo when it hit Charelston. Them folks needed all the help they could get. you run the chainsaw all day and not go 5 feet.!

This is gonna be a really bad one.
I am going to get some extra chains maybe a bar or two and probably head down by the weekend.

Partners always help. Sure thing here my digits. 912-381-tree

Maybe it will hit the gulf and go to mex.don't need another storm.Only mother nature knows that.but im ready if comes this way.

xtreme nice #,, the phone # for the co. i work w/ here in kc is 913-381-tree. Wow that's awful close. Well lets' see what this thing does. Unfortunately i wish it would hit about a week later, b/c i have to stay in town here at least until the 14th, but that afternoon i'll be on my way. I do have a 3 guys down in Naples right now, they've been talking about heading home in a week or two, so maybe they might change there minds and get to work up there. I'll talk w/ them and see what there plans are.

storm chaser

Roger that,
Ive got to get better INS coverage. Mine wont cover out of state.
I like to rule out everything that can go wrong and the rest will be luck for us brothers.
Hugo made a 20 mile stretch of ****y traps!

Re-testin on tree ID and diease diagnosis sections on the 10th.
Hurrican will hit the 3rd -5th. what to do.
ISA will charge me $60 if I fail to show or fail.

My dad just left today from here to go check on his house near Orlando, and clean up some fallen branches that damaged the fence. From the looks of that link maybe he should have waited another week and go and clean the rest that might come down!

Business is very slow for us right now but I still wouldn't even consider it. If I had the time I'd go for an adventure, not worth it to me for the money!
Hope my dad brought lots of gas, I think he's towing a trailer too.

Good luck down there, keep safe.

??

Where is the furthest anyone is coming from?? How does getting paid work since I'm sure a lot of the damage is handled through insurance, or FEMA??

I think storm is moving northwest , frances will sit and spin a day or two.medea saying theirs no GAS any where in florida .

I'm ready to go to the Tampa bay area or Gainesville asap if it hits either of those, even semihard, cuz I got family there.

If it misses that's ok too. 6 pm radar check made it clear that hitting NC or SC is a longshot.

Good luck men!
I'll be down to help out ASAP,
Rocky, My uncle is down in Orlando right now running a Loader and bucket, still working on clean up from the last batch. I may wind up there. If not there then Tampa/clearwater, or south to Naples. These are where my contacts are.

No problems w/ the heat for me, I lived in Naples for 12 yrs. Grew up doing tree work there. Beware the humidity is a killer.

My cell # is 913-522-4993
